Elsevier has launched the next version of Pathway Studio Web, which it says will enable researchers to more quickly understand the underlying biology of disease.

The updated version of Pathway Studio Web is designed to be easier to use and Elsevier says it is up to 30 times faster for common analysis tasks.

These improvements are a direct result of customer feedback and market research and are designed to help researchers to quickly understand the complex underlying mechanisms of disease progression and response to treatments, while enabling the interactive visualisation of gene expression, proteomics and metabolomics data.

The company says the new web interface is simpler, with reorganised menus and extensive online help, making it easier for new users to be productive quickly. The number of clicks required to carry out common analysis tasks have been reduced – in some cases by 60 per cent or more – with the aim of speeding and simplifying workflows.
